Bec & Bridge presented their latest collection, ‘The Dusk March’, on the opening day of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA) revealing for the first time the brand’s foray into swimwear. The SS15 collection presentation was a sensual journey through the desert landscape of Morocco…which unveiled the Bec & Bridge girl of the season; a confident ‘free spirit’ whose inner beauty is as compelling as what is expressed on the outside.

KMS California Hair Director Alan White, collaborated with the designers, Becky Cooper and Bridget Yorston on two hair looks which encapsulated their vision setting of a seductive and evocative desert landscape.

“The Bec & Bridge girl embodies the ultimate downtown girl meets global nomad. Healthy hair with natural movement…softly hydrated. In other words, unkempt, yet maintained!…and styled in a simple way that is this season’s best accessory unto itself”, said White.

Look 1 – DOWN

  1. Apply KMS SILKSHEEN styling crème to towel dried hair from roots through mid-lenghths and focusing especially on ends to lock in moisture.
  2. Centre part the hair with a pintail comb for a clean line, then – using a combined nylon and bristle round brush – blow- dry hair to create movement using HAIRPLAY playable texture…while smoothing for a healthy finish. Try not to stretch hair while drying to maintain natural bounce. Producing a luxury finish to the hair is important to the overall look.
  3. Once dry, apply SILKSHEEN polishing serum to the hair to create a soft silky texture…paying special attention to the ends to control flyaways and add moisture.
  4. Tuck hair loosely behind the ears, then – using a dryer – lightly blow around the forehead to release flyaways around the face.
  5. To finish, spritz with HAIRSTAY anti-humidity seal for weightless hold.

  2. Centre part the hair with a pintail comb for a clean line, then – using a combined nylon and bristle round brush – blow-dry hair to create movement using HAIRPLAY playable texture …while smoothing for a healthy finish. Try not to stretch hair while drying to maintain natural bounce. Once again, a luxury finish to the hair is important to the overall look.
  3. Once dry, apply SILKSHEEN polishing serum to the hair to create a soft silky texture…paying special attention to the ends to control flyaways and add moisture.
  4. Centre part the hair using a combination of your fingers and a brush, then groom into a ponytail on the occipital bone (mid head). Allow some fine hairs to fall loose below the ponytail and around the temples before securing with hair elastic. On the final pull through of the pony, only half pull through to create a small loop, and pin to secure in place.
  5. Divide the pony into two sections, then tie hair into a small knot and pin around the base of the pony to hold in place.
  6. Using a dryer, lightly blow around the forehead and pony to release flyaways.
  7. To finish, spritz with KMS HAIRSTAY anti humidity seal for weightless hold.
